New nWare upgrades unveiled at ISE

ISE 2017 News

Published: 03/05/2017

nWare is the revolutionary drag and drop audio systems configuration, management, monitoring and control software platform behind the MediaMatrix and Crest Audio series of network controllable and configurable products – used in 1,000s of premium commercial installations around the world, including Harrods, Heathrow, Universal Studios, Wynn Macau and Bellagio Las Vegas casino and resort hotels.

With more than 42 major feature sets and functionality upgrades since its introduction back in 2005, the configuration and control platform for Peavey's network audio products nWare 2.0 delivers a fresh updated wizard user interface, ‘quick keys’ and 22 new built-in project templates. Users are now given a more intuitive experience allowing them to select, modify and deploy a working project in less time than it takes to make a cup of coffee.

nWare 2.0 is the most extensive update yet to one of the World's most trusted platforms for mission critical applications, seamlessly working with the Crest Audio network amplifiers, as well as the new MediaMatrix  nTouch-180HD and Kiosk-180HD touch screen controllers, the H-DCM & F-DCM (Dante/CobraNet IO modules) and fully integrated with the award winning 'Kiosk2Go' HTML-5 browser based control interface platform.

Joe Kurta, Chief Technical Officer for Peavey Commercial Audio said: “We’ve made some exciting improvements to nWare, the award winning software which already provides audio, control and monitoring of Nion based systems.  Our focus has been to increase the usability in an effort to help authors/designers accomplish tasks with fewer clicks and we look forward to showing our established customers the improvements, as well as introduce the benefits of MediaMatrix and Nion to new customers during ISE 2017.”

nWare 2.0 boasts a range of improvements that benefit system designers, integrators and end users alike, including:

Device Tree

nWare’s device tree has been reorganized, hiding advanced and arcane devices to non-advanced users and slimming down iterations of devices that were cluttering the tree.  Devices can now be assigned to quick keys for more rapid placement and with the new filter option, time spent navigating the tree to find a specific device has been eliminated.

Control Interface

Several new products have been added to the control interface; nTouch 180HD, Kiosk 180HD as well as new and improved Crest Amplifier control devices.  Kiosk2Go has improved security and loading speeds and has also been hardened to better maintain and restore sessions over intermittent WIFI.

User Interface

nWare’s integrated design environment (IDE) has undergone a facelift for a far more user-friendly interface.  In addition to updated graphics and toolbars, a template chooser with 22 project templates has been added - offering a starting point for new files in various categories.  Handling of media assets, grid and snap settings usability have also been greatly improved.

In addition to demonstrations of the latest nWare 2.0, Peavey Commercial Audio will also be showcasing the Crest Audio - 'Tactus.FOH' and 'Tactus.Stage' digital mixing system,

Tactus is a high quality live performance digital mixing and streaming audio system utilizing Waves sound grid streaming audio scalable up to 256i x 256o channels bundled with the World renowned Waves LV1 digital mixing software platforms designed for both installed and touring systems.

Tactus allows for multiple points of mixing supporting seamless audio routing, distribution and control of front of house, stage monitor and mix down.

Optional tactile assignable control is available via the 'Tactus.Control' motor fader interface for hands on feedback for the most demanding live mixing requirements while working simultaneously with the LV1 software via interactive touch screens.

New micro websites from Peavey Commercial Audio will also be launched and featured at the booth allowing visitors an interactive and informative experience while test driving both the Crest Audio - Tactus digital mixing and the MediaMatrix - Claro meeting and conference room solutions.

The new microsites can be found at www.claroconferencing.com and www.tactusdigitalmixing.com with both scheduled to go live shortly before the curtain goes up on ISE on February 6th.
